No Greater Scorn

Arkin: “They hide behind the constitution and the flag and then spew an anti-Democrat, anti-liberal, anti-journalism, anti-dissent, and anti-citizen message that reflects a certain contempt for the American people”. Who’s fooling whom here? This is downright contempt. If Arkin thinks we can't see that...Maybe it wasn't Adam but Arkin in the Garden trying to hustle God. "Where's Eve?" says God. "Eve who?"

Arkin is just another spokes-neuter trying to rally the mob to piss on soldiers’ heads, and demanding they ‘shut up and like it!’ All the while breaking fumes of care and support for the soldiers... who soldier on. I hope the President’s stern resolve is enough for them all, since the mob Arkin speaks for has withdrawn from civic duty, too busy you see. Beneath them, all this hiding behind the Constitution, and that messy flag stuff. I mean, sheesh! Can you believe those guys believe that stuff they say?

Not only does Arkin want the soldiers to shut up, he wants his readers and commentors to shut up too. Is he saying to himself “I STILL HEAR YOU!”. How terribly disheartening. Pal, shove a few more rounds into your ears.
