Crescent, Shmeshcent!

OK. I believe it. I believe it. I believe it.

"This is not about any religion per se," Murdoch said in a telephone interview with the Tribune-Democrat in Johnstown. "It's a spiritual space, and a sacred place, but it's open to anyone."
The word "crescent," he said, was used as a generic architectural term for a curved line.
"Sure, there is an Islamic crescent," Murdoch said. "Theirs is a lunar crescent. Ours isn't based on that."

If it were "based on that"...how would it be different? Hmm?

Instead of red maple trees, maybe box cutters would be planted?

Perhaps computer-generated virtual-reality kiosks? "Return to Flight 93! Participate in the day's events! Choose your character! Be a flight attendant! Feel your neck sliced open, struggle to breathe as your own warm blood drenches your blouse! Be a Flight 93 pilot! Relive the pilot's fears and frustrations for the safety of their passengers in their last seconds before losing consciousness!! And, for the truly brave and courageous, relive one of Islam's historical high points-be a hijacker! Experience the thrill of power! Murder innocents!

Disclaimer and Warnings: Some participants choosing the brave hijacker who had hot coffee thrown in his face have manifested real burns. Close your eyes at minutes 1:43 through 1:45 and be spared this terrible experience. Also, you may not want to pick the guy who, some say, had his skill beaten in with a laptop. Headaches have been reported. Also we apologize that none of the passengers whose actions brought down the plane are available for re-enactment. We don't mind being insensitive, unpatriotic, dishonest, condescending or dismissive , but we're not taking any chances when it comes to smearing the Religion of Peace. Finally, we want to thank them for their support. This monument and memorial would not be here without the Hijackers of Flight 93, The Shanksville 4 . It is to their memory we dedicate this place.
